And a jar fair?

In June, the weather is nice, school holidays are approaching and in schools we party!
Organize cooking workshops with your children, make desserts in jars and, together, make everyone discover gastronomy in jar. You will amaze more than one.

Here are some recipes that will make you and your children the stars of the fair:

The marbled cake : true symbol, the zebra cake will please young and older.

Milk jam : original and very simple to make. Children can taste it as is, or why not spread it on good fresh bread or pancakes

And to fill up on ideas, Dany, a ventilate center host, brings you tips and advice for making cooking workshops with your children, a success!

Why is it important to cook with your children?
Cooking with your children allows you to create complicity and share a pleasant moment. This allows children to learn while having fun. They learn respect for the stages, they measure, weigh, count ...

Why are children so attracted to pastry?
Because the recipes are simple, fun and gourmet. Just put all the ingredients in a dish, mix and voila! And what children appreciate most in general ... Lick the spoon once the recipe is over!

How to interest them in the kitchen and the making of jars in particular?
The most important thing is to make a recipe that children appreciate. They must be involved as much as possible. Explain to your children all the advantages of the kitchen in jar, original, transportable, storable ... You can even make small individual portions and taste your pastry directly in the jar!

Can you tell us one of your best memories of a kitchen workshop that you organized?
No later than last week, I was preparing a chocolate cake with the children. Once the recipe is over, the children wanted to taste what was left of the preparation in the pan. Two minutes later, there was already nothing! These little gourmands left me nothing!

What are your advice for a first successful cooking workshop?
Give them a little apron so that they feel like grown-ups. Choose the recipe together, make them participate as much as possible and above all make them proud of the result! They will only have one desire ... start again!
