OPENING A JAR OF PRESERVES IS SO EASY!

OPENING A LE PARFAIT SUPER JAR OR TERRINE – WITH A CLASSIC RUBBER SEAL

To open a Le Parfait Super jar with a rubber seal, you must first check the preserves. Make sure that the jar is still airtight inside. The lid should remain sealed tight to the jar and not move (don’t forget that you should store your jars with the clip top unlocked, as explained in the “How to make your own preserves” tutorial video).
There are two ways to open a jar of preserves:
- either pull the tongue of the rubber seal so that air enters the jar
- or use a Le Parfait opener, especially designed for this purpose. Just slide the tongue of the seal into the opener and turn so that the seal rolls around the opener.
Jars should only be opened by adults.

OPENING LE PARFAIT SUPER JAR OR TERRINE – RUBBER SEAL WITH TWO TABS

To open a Le Parfait Super jar with a two-tab rubber seal, after checking the airtight seal on your preserve jar, take a pair of scissors and make a small cut between the two tabs on the seal. Then, carefully pull the two tabs apart so that the seal tears.
Jars should only be opened by adults.

OPENING A LE PARFAIT FAMILIA WISS TERRINE

Before opening a Le Parfait Familia Wiss terrine with a sealing cap, remember to check the terrine to make sure that the sealing cap is ‘stuck tight’ to the terrine. This is an essential step before you open a preserve terrine. Then, using the pointed tip of the Le Parfait opener, pierce a hole in the centre of the terrine. Now you can remove the sealing cap easily.
Jars should only be opened by adults.

To open a jam jar, just use your two hands, one to hold the jar, and the other to unscrew the lid!
