Recipe Spice fig chutney

Ingredients

Number of persons: 6 à 8 personnes
  • 350 g de figues fraîches coupées en 4
  • 1/2 oignon émincé finement
  • 1 citron
  • 1 bâton de cannelle
  • 1 cc de graines de cardamome
  • 1 cc de thé noir parfumé
  • 1 cc de gingembre frais haché
  • 1,5 cc d'huile

Preparation

  1. Boil 25 cl of water and put the tea, lemon (juice and zest), cinnamon and cardamom.
  2. Leave to reduce by half over low heat and filter.
  3. Brown the onion and ginger in the oil and add the figs.
  4. Cover with fragrant tea and simmer for about 1 hour over very low heat.
  5. Check the cooking by pouring a few drops on a cold plate then tip the plate. The chutney should flow slowly.
  6. Split and proceed without delay putting in pots.
