Recipe Walnut and lentil spread
Ingredients

1. Chop the onions.
I2. n a frying pan, fry the onions in a little oil until golden.
3. Add the lentils and water (2.5 times the volume of lentils). Cook for around 20 minutes over a medium heat.
4. Drain if necessary (keeping the cooking liquid).
5. Blend the lentil mixture with the walnuts, oil, vinegar, chilli powder, salt and pepper. Add a little cooking liquid if necessary.
6. Fill the terrines to within 2cm of the rim and heat at 100°C for 2 hours.
7. Just before serving, mix the spread with a little water if the texture is too dry. Add a little fresh chives on top.
