Recipe Nut wine

With this recipe, transform your red wine into a tasty homemade aperitif. With its nuts and spices, it immediately makes you want it, but keep it carefully to enjoy it chilled in the summer sun around a good table.

Ingredients

Number of persons: Several
  • 6 green walnuts
  • 250g of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 stick of cinnamon
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 stick of vanilla
  • 3 bottles of red wine (Corbière, Cahors)
  • 33 cl of fruit brandy at 40°

Preparation

  • Wash the nuts then roughly crush them by giving them just a light tap with a hammer.
  • Place the nuts in the Le Parfait Super 3L jar, add the sugar, cinnamon, cloves and vanilla. Pour the wine and brandy on top.
  • Close your jar and leave to macerate for 4 months, shaking the jar every day.
  • Filter the walnut wine and bottle it. Cap tightly, label and date. Store in a cool place away from light. Wait until summer to consume it very cold as an aperitif.
