Recipe Plain kombucha with tea

  • 1L non-chlorinated water
  • 5g tannic black tea
  • 1 mother of kombucha
  • 125ml kombucha liquid or cider vinegar
  • 70g sugar

1. Infuse the tea for 15 to 20 minutes, strain, then add the sugar and leave to cool.
2. Add the kombucha liquid or cider vinegar that came with the mother to the preparation.
3. Place the mother on top of the preparation, white side up, then place a cloth over your container and leave to ferment in a ventilated space for 7 to 10 days. After this period, your recipe should smell like cider.
4. If the mother shows any black, sticky traces, remove them and then store the mother in a little drink for later use.
5. You can then drink your kombucha after filtering it. If you want a sparkling drink, pour your preparation into a Swing Top Le Parfait bottle and leave to stand for 3 to 4 days at room temperature.
6. Then store your drink in the fridge until ready to drink.
