MELONS IN SWEET SYRUP! NOT FOUND ON THE SHELVES, EVEN THOSE OF FINE GROCERY STORES. THIS IS THE ADVANTAGE OF A HOMEMADE PRESERVE: IT CAN BE ORIGINAL. TREAT YOURSELF, MELON HAS AN INIMITABLE TASTE THAT CARRIES WITH IT AN AIR OF SUMMER, WHICH EVERYONE ENJOYS EXTENDING.

Ingredients

Number of persons: 6 servings
  • Melons (not too ripe)
  • Lemon juice (50 ml) for 1 melon
  • Sugar

Recommended products

We recommend: Jars Le Parfait Super > Jar - 0,25 l (Diameter : 70)

Preparation

  1. Cut your melons in half, remove the seeds and strands, peel them and cut them into pieces about 5 cm long and 3 cm wide.
  2. Place the pieces overnight in a light vinegar solution.
  3. The next morning, let the pieces drain completely. In the meantime, prepare a sugar syrup made from a mixture of 750g of sugar and 1 litre of water and bring to the boil.
  4. Arrange the pieces in layers in the jars, cover them with the syrup and proceed immediately to the heat treatment, 90 minutes at 100°C.

Est ce indispensable?
J’ai fait des bocaux de melon sans trempage avec le sirop direct ,est ce qu’ils risquent de mal se conserver?
