This homemade poppy herbal tea is an invitation to take your foot off the gas without falling asleep in the cup. With its delicate floral scent and soothing notes, it is perfect to accompany a day that is a little too long or a brain that stubbornly refuses to go into “off” mode. Here, no mysterious potion or dubious spell: just a mixture of simple, traditional and naturally relaxing plants.
- Wash the plants and dry them gently on a clean cloth.
- Arrange the plants in thin layers, without overlapping them, on the racks of your dehydrator. We advise you to do one plant per floor.
- Dehydrate at 35°C for 6 hours. The plants must be completely dry and brittle ; if not, prolong dehydration.
- Once cooled, place in a airtight jar.
- Use 1 teaspoon of the mixture for approximately 25 cl of water.
With this recipe you obtain approximately 100g of final mixture. If you want to make a larger quantity here is the ratio used:
- 50% poppy
- 25% linden flowers
- 15% lemon verbena
- 10% chamomile flowers
The poppy contains small amounts ofalkaloids with mild calming effects. We recommend that you do not exceed 2 cups per day. By precaution, we advise against use in the child and the pregnant woman.
