Recipe Melon and honey jam

A super simple jam that is unanimously appreciated by the community is definitely not to be missed! Savoring melon all year round for breakfast is a dream come true, especially when it's well accompanied. The acacia honey adds a light and sweet flavor here, a real treat!

Ingredients

Number of persons: Several servings
  • 3 melons
  • 500 g of granulated sugar
  • Juice of an orange
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 3 tbsp acacia honey

Preparation

  • Cut the melon into cubes, weigh 500g then macerate it in sugar for 3 hours. Collect the juice and heat it in a stewpot.
  • Add the split vanilla pod, honey and orange juice. Bring to a boil over low-medium heat, stirring for 10 minutes. Then add the diced melon and cook for 20 minutes, stirring regularly.
  • Check the cooking by pouring a few drops onto a cold plate then tilting the plate. The jam should flow slowly. Remove the vanilla pod. skim regularly to remove the foam that forms on the surface.
  • Proceed without delay to place them in jars, close them and turn them over for 1 minute, then put them back upright to let them cool.
