- Pick the cherries with their stalks, then wash them in cold water and dry them in a cloth.
- Cut the stems off the cherries to about 1-2 cm then arrange them in the jars without packing them.
- Cover with litres of brandy, add the sugar, close and keep in a dark place for 6 months.
- Open the jars, taste and add sugar if necessary. Replenish the brandy. Wait another 6 months.
- Preserving with alcohol ensures that the product will keep for several years.
Cherries in brandy can be kept for years.
