Walnut - lentil spread Recipe

Slice the onions.
In a frying pan, fry the onions in a little oil until they go brown.
Add the lentils and water (2.5 times the volume of lentils). Cook on a medium heat for around 20 minutes.
Drain if needed (keep the cooking liquid).
Mix the lentil mixture with the walnuts, oil, vinegar, chilli powder, salt and pepper. Add a little cooking liquid if needed.
Fill the terrines up to 2cm from the rim then carry out the heat treatment at 100°C for 1.5 hours.
When ready to serve, mix the spread with a little water if the texture is too dry. Sprinkle some fresh chives on top.
