We are five at table every day and often many more. We're all foodies and demanding, so our evening meal is an important occasion at home! It must be pretty clever to please everybody because we do not have time to cook during the week and preparing quality food in large quantities can be expensive. In winter, I am keen on soups and casseroles! I bought a large cast iron pan in which I cook meat and vegetables; I had to invent dozens of variations around the stew, stir-fry of lamb with spices ... they are complete meals, full of aromas, ultra easy to make and do not require much supervision. Every time I cook a dish in my famous casserole, before serving, I fill the equivalent of one or two jars and let them boil while we sit down to eat. That way, on weeknights, I only have to warm up a jar. Pick up some fresh bread when I am passing the bakery, add salad, fruit and the menu is perfect!

She came home for lunch two weeks ago and I had prepared some terrines of foie gras. It's super easy, but it made an impression. I had to show her the other jars stored in the larder before she admitted that yes, that toast with foie gras really tasted as if it had been crafted by me! For 5 minutes I became the perfect son. It was fun!

I moved last week. 4 'real' friends came to help. It's still a huge chore. Between the washing machine that weighed a ton and the sofa that did not fit up the stairs, we quickly lost the right mood ... By the end of the day, the atmosphere was downright tense even though the room was completely finished. I quickly warmed up a jar that I had prepared last summer: a lamb curry. Everyone thought it delicious and the temperature dropped at once! It was really necessary to finish this stage there.
